Hi

I am currently analysing STIS data and have converted the STIS 1-D spectra from FITS format to IRAF files using TOMULTISPEC. Am I correct in assuming that only columns with the wavelength and flux will be included in the IRAF files or can I have a 3rd column with the error in the flux as well?

Hi,

The image format used by the ONEDSPEC package does not support error information. So TOMULTISPEC will not make use of the error column. Someday we would like to support a more general format, including the STIS format directly.
