When I am in the digiphot.daophot package of iraf and use the imexam feature to view a radial plot of my .fits image, the irafterm window opens up correctly, displaying all the right numbers, however the radial plot itself does not show up at all.
Any ideas?

What exactly *do* you see? A blank screen, some TCL code or gibberish chars? If the latter two then the terminal type is set incorrectly for the type of window you're using, see e.g. http://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85337&highlight=stty
for the 'standard reply', otherwise please supply more information (iraf version, os, etc).

The irafterm window displays the plot area, with axes labeled, but the plot area itself is completely blank. The window has the title of what it is on top, and the values on the bottom. I know the values are correct, because they match with the rest of my teams' values. It's just that the plot is blank, and I don't know if this indicates a larger problem.

New one to me. You might try doing a ':.gflush" in the graphics cursor to flush the graphics buffer, or a '0' (zero) keystroke to redraw the plot (remember that in IMEXAM you sometimes need to toggle between the graphics and image cursor with the 'g' and 'i' keystroke respectively). A truncated plot is sometimes a symptom of a small graphics buffer you would normally see at least some of the plot. The 'cmbuflen' environment variable defines the buffer size and is set in your login.cl file, if you change it be sure to do a 'gflush' or log back in again. Lastly, to rule out a problem in your environment you can try to do a new MKIRAF in someplace like /tmp and login through there, this gives you a default login.cl and no loginuser.cl or saved parameters that might be affecting your setup.

Also, by 'irafterm' I assume you're referring to XGterm graphics? Does it make a difference if you try using Xterm instead (with appropriate terminal setting)? What platform and version is this?
