help - convolve a spectrum

Hi

I need to convolve a spectrum from a resolution of 3000 down to a resolution of 700, can anyone tell me how to do this in IRAF?

DISPCOR can rebin the spectra and effectively change the resolution as you describe. To 'convolve' a spectrum to me implies you want to "smear" the lines as with rotational broadening, is this really what you want?
