allstar errors

I am having trouble fitting stars using the allstar task. It fits most of the stars but a large number are being rejected with the error message keyword "Merged" or "Singular". What exactly does this mean?

Hopefully you'll get advice about which parameters to tweak to avoid this from somebody who knows more about the task, but a 'singlular' solution means a unique solution couldn't be found when solving the matrix, a 'merged' error means that a "fainter star < 0.37 * fwhmpsf from a brighter star in the group".

I'd also recommend the DAOPHOT user's guide in the docs link on the banner bar.
