bug shiftfind v1.12.1.
Guest wrote on Nov 29, 2005
Hi,
I am using iraf v2.12.1. (on sunstation) and I found a bug (possibly
corrected in more recent version ?) in the shiftfind task.
Indeed, the shift deduced by shiftfind use a convention in "x" and the
reverse convention in "y". In other words, the shift found for an image
is xref-xima and yima-yref while yref-yima would be expected. (note that
this is a "new" bug not present in ver. 2.11.3)
Don't take this email into account if this is corrected in more recent
version of Iraf.
Cheers,
Dominique Sluse

Hi Dominique,
SHIFTFIND is an STSDAS task so I've forwarded your question to
their helpdesk (help@stsci.edu). You should be hearing from them
shortly.
Regards,
Mike Fiztpatrick
