Hi Terry,
The message is coming from DS9 itself and we have no other
report of this, so you might also ask at saord@cfa.harvard.edu to
see whether they know what's going on. It sounds as though there
is some confusion about the display frame so you might also try
explicitly adding the frame number to the imexam command line to
see if that helps. Was the image loaded by DS9 or from the IRAF
display command? I wasn't able to reproduce the problem here, if
you could supply more information about exactly what you did I might
be able to track it down.
