Quad problems !!

Hi!
I am now reducing the data from my CTIO run. I have quad installed but
when I do ccdlist there it throws me this:

	ERROR: Cannot open connected subprocess (ccdred$x_ccdred.e)
	
I tried to load imred and ccdred, the error is still there. I checked
whether the installation has some obvious flaws, and it seems to check
out (may be I missed something).

As a result, the package can't set all translations and I can not
reduce the data.

Anyone understands what it might be? And one more, is there any manual
that would describe the specifics of quad?
