We are trying to get prebuilt binaries into the IRAF archives, as everyone
is in the same boat as you, they have the new version of IRAF and they
want TABLES and STSDAS as well. Normally one would just build from the
sources from STScI, but since these are new ports STScI hasn't had time
yet to generate a patch for them.
Currently for PC-IRAF we have up to date binaries for TABLES for all
PC-IRAF platforms, including RedHat (I just updated these from our PC-IRAF
master system myself a few hours ago). You will find these in the archives
at
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/contrib/tables/v2.0/binaries
in the "linux", "redhat", and "freebsd" subdirectories, or within 24 hours
in the same location on any mirror site.
Similarly there are binaries for STSDAS in
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/contrib/stsdas/v2.0/binaries
We have some preliminary binaries for Linux in this directory, however
these need to be updated for the PC-IRAF release. We probably won't get
to this until next week, but you may be able to work with the current v2.0
binaries in the meantime.
