Running IRAF on a PC X-Client (eXceed)

Thanks to Steve Allen and Mike Fitzpatrick for pointing me in the right
direction.


I downloaded DS9 (a 24-bit display server) and told eXceed to use "true color".
Things are working much better ... the response to the RMB is sluggish but
it does work.

Ed,

In ds9, Go to Edit->Preferences->Colorbar and choose, for example the options:

	128x128
	    and
	About Mouse Click

This reduces the size of the window being updated as the mouse moves
around and will improve update performance. Then, when you release the
mouse, the full window will be updated with the right colors.
