We are looking for an IRAF programmer who can write a script that will add an automated detection step to the analysis. I would appreciate any leads you could offer. Many thanks in advance. M. There are many folks who could do this, but so far as I know no one does it commercially so it is hard to know who to recommend. Usually a site has people locally who are familar with IRAF who write such scripts. We do some contract work ourselves for outside sites (mainly NASA), but this is mostly for larger projects and it usually involves extending IRAF rather than writing custom support for some instrument. How big a project did you have in mind? One approach that might work would be to post your query to an Internet newsgroup and/or one of the mail exploders. - Doug
