scopy

Can anybody help me? I need to copy both the object array [0] and variance
array [1] of a single spectra which is contained in a single fits file
comprising hundreds of spectra. I am trying with scopy but I can only get it
to create a fits file that contains both the object and the variance as two
apertures not two extensions. Any help with this will be appreciated.
