IMEDIT for spectra

Q:  Is there any way to do the equivalent of "imedit" on a 1-D spectrum
in a .ms format?? We've been looking and looking and haven't been able
to come up with anything.


A:  I think what you want is SPLOT.  It has 'x' for editing pixel values
and 'i' to write out the modified spectrum.  There is also the
xydraw option (set in the parameters or with :xydraw [yes|no]) which
controls whether to interpolate from the indicated endpoints selected
with the x position of the cursor or actually draw a line between the
x,y cursor positions.  The works on ms format and can write out spectra
to either separate images, replace in the input image, or write to
a new multispec image.  Is this what you mean by equivalent?
